Shootfighting occurs as interbred martial art originating in Japan. It mixes elements of American boxing, amateur wrestling, shoot-style professional wrestling, jujutsu and perhaps virtually all importantly catch as catch can. Shooto wwhen founded by Satoru Sayama, a catch-as-catch-may trained sales person grappler, & Pancrase and UWF were all formed per adherent of catch experts, each American & Japanese.
